Modern Warfare 3 Maps

There has been a lot of rumour speculating on just how many Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 maps there will be. Leaks have revealed that over 20 maps have been made! Although my opinion is that the game, on release, will feature about 14 maps and the other 6 are for a early release MW3 Map Pack.

Speculated Maps for the Multiplayer have been released on Kotaku and list as follows:

  • Interchange
  • Lambeth

Spec Ops maps are also looking to make vast improvements on their initial styles of game-play on Modern Warfare 2. In MW3 we are supposedly seeing 2 core game-types within spec ops with some perhaps being available on future MW3 map packs. 
Like MW2 you will fight through mission-based levels fighting waves of enemies. The new survival mode looks to be the Modern Warfare version of zombies for mw3, in which players battle un-ending waves of enemy.

This is still all speculation but does look like a realistic leak to the game. Modern warfare 3 maps and MW3 map packs look to be the best in the call of duty series yet. In my personal opinion, unless it is a skill based game, unlike MW2, designed for any noob to pick up the controller, Black Ops will still hold top title for competitive gamers. Modern Warfare 3 does look like it will have the popularity vote and will inevitably break new records on it's release.
